For Ade, Founder and Creative Director of ULTRASHOT, entrepreneurship did not begin with a perfectly drafted business plan or a roadmap to success; it began with a conviction, a belief that visual storytelling could become a tool for social change.

As a documentary filmmaker and communications expert, Ade has spent nearly a decade building ULTRASHOT into a creative communications company driven by purpose. While many recognize the compelling documentaries and successful events that define the brand today, he believes the real story lies behind the scenes, in the years of uncertainty, difficult decisions, sleepless nights, and countless lessons that shaped the company’s identity.

When Ade started ULTRASHOT, he had noticed a significant gap within Nigeria’s media landscape. Too many stories with the power to inspire action, influence perspectives, and drive social change were going untold. Rather than simply producing content, he envisioned a creative organization dedicated to giving impactful stories the visibility and significance they deserved.

“I wanted to build a brand that could do more than create content,” he reflects. “I wanted to make an impact.”

That conviction became the foundation upon which ULTRASHOT was built. Like many entrepreneurs, Ade’s journey has been marked by constant challenges. In the early years, the greatest pressure was survival, it was hard-work building a creative business within Nigeria’s evolving informal economy and highly competitive media industry. As the company grew, new challenges emerged: attracting the right clients, maintaining consistency, protecting the brand’s reputation, and continually delivering exceptional value.

Rather than allowing those pressures to become obstacles, Ade embraced them as opportunities for growth.

“Pressure is not always a bad thing,” he says. “Sometimes it reveals what needs to change. It shows you what needs restructuring, where discipline is required, and where growth is necessary.”

One defining moment came when ULTRASHOT secured its first major client on a retainer contract. That milestone transformed his perspective from simply being a creative professional to becoming a business leader entrusted with solving problems and earning clients’ confidence.

Since then, his leadership standing has evolved significantly. He no longer pursues every opportunity, choosing instead to position ULTRASHOT intentionally within the market. He has shifted away from a one-person approach, to building systems that enable sustainable growth and collaboration.

Most importantly, he now views storytelling not merely as creative expression but as a strategic tool capable of shaping perceptions, influencing decisions, and creating measurable impact.

These principles have guided ULTRASHOT’s transformation from an ambitious idea into a structured and purpose-driven media and events company, and further into a strategic communications company.

Despite the progress, Ade believes both he and the organization remain works in progress. “ULTRASHOT is still evolving, and so am I.” he says. “The work is still creative, but the thinking behind it has become more structured and more purposeful.”

For aspiring entrepreneurs and creatives, his journey carries a simple yet powerful message: meaningful success is built over time through patience, resilience, and consistency. One does not need every answer before taking the first step, only the courage to begin, and the determination to keep building makes all the difference.

As ULTRASHOT continues to expand its influence across events, communications, and storytelling, Ade remains committed to the conviction that started it all: creating stories that do more than inform, stories that inspire action, transform perspectives, and leave a lasting impact through time.
